Built in 2005 it has been driven just 1603 miles since completion. The body has never suffered any damage and is indistinguishable in proportions to an original Cobra. Clear guard has been applied to the front of the car. The wheel wells have foam inlays to protect the fenders from rock chips.
The engine bay and underside are immaculate.
Mechanically the car is spectacular with performance to rival anything on the road. The engine is an aluminum block Genesis casting of the famous Ford side oiler. It was bored and stroked to 482 c.i.d. A nine-quart oil pan was added along with a Holley 850 double pumper carburetor. The Tremec TKO 600 5-speed is mated to an aluminum flywheel and pressure plate, which feeds power to the Kirkham (Salisbury type) differential. A McCloud scatter shield is also fitted. The car weights in at just 2100 lbs. and with 600hp the performance is staggering. The brakes are Wilwood 4-piston calipers with double wide vented rotors giving this car considerable more stopping power than the original Cobra. The suspension is set up with Penske adjustable shocks. Recent work by Bob Slade includes the Kirkham recommended front suspension pickup point reinforcements, updated flexible exhaust hangers, a complete suspension alignment including bump steer. In addition he installed a Comp Cams FB 2825-10 cam and tuned the engine.
